Michael Lipsman, Ph.D., Economist and Partner

Mike retired in October 2011 as Manager, Tax Research and Program Analysis Section, Iowa Department of Revenue. His duties included overseeing the fiscal impact analysis for State and federal tax legislation; tracking, analyzing, and forecasting State tax revenues and refunds; and tracking and analyzing national, regional, and State economic trends.    View Mike's Brief Biography  


Harvey Siegelman, Economist and Partner

Harvey retired after 20 years as Iowa's longest-serving State Economist in June 2001. He was also Adjunct Professor of Economics at Drake University. He also taught economics at University of Wisconsin, Whitewater Campus, Findlay University and Wichita State University.   View Harvey's Brief Biography  


Daniel Otto, Ph.D., Economist and Partner

Dan is Emeritus Professor of Economics at Iowa State University. His current activities include working with communities on economic development workshops, specialized analysis of community facilities and services, income and employment analysis through economic impact studies, and workshops on public policy issues for rural areas.   View Dan's Brief Biography

Natalie Davila, PhD., Economist

Natalie is currently a staff economist at JD Michael and assists SEG as a major contributor on state and local tax administration and policy projects. Her consulting tasks include applied tax research, logistics and regional economic and development issues. In April, 2013, Natalie left the position as Research Director of the Illinois Department of Revenue to pursue private consulting.    View Natalie's Brief Biography  


Daniel Persky, AICP, Planner and Project Manager

Daniel manages Town Square Consultancy and is an affiliate of Strategic Economics Group. He is contracted to help clients develop funding plans, write grant proposals and conduct benefit-cost analysis for projects that enhance communities.
